University Tree-Planting Initiative

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ali Abdul-Aziz Al-Shawi, President of Al-Nahrain University, the university launched a tree-planting campaign to promote environmental sustainability and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

Dean of the College of Political Science, Prof. Dr. Osama Murtada Baqir Al-Saidi, along with faculty members, planted seedlings in the college courtyard, reinforcing the college’s commitment to environmental stewardship.

The initiative, organized by the Volunteer Work Committee and Student Activities Division, aims to increase green spaces and create a healthy learning environment. Over 200 participants, including faculty and staff, contributed to planting various seedlings, promoting a culture of environmental awareness and social responsibility.
