Two Faculty Members from the College of Political Science Participate in Preparing the Curriculum on Human Rights and Democracy Adopted in Iraqi Universities

Prof. Dr. Yasser Ali Ibrahim and Prof. Dr. Kazem Ali Mahdi, from the College of Political Science at Al-Nahrain University, participated in preparing the curriculum on Human Rights and Democracy, which was approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for official adoption in government and private universities starting from the academic year (2025-2026).

This participation comes within the framework of the Ministry’s efforts to promote a culture of responsible citizenship and disseminate the values of human rights and democracy among students. It aligns with the state’s direction towards building a balanced civil society based on the principles of justice and equality.

This initiative reflects the College’s commitment to contributing to the development of academic curricula that serve the needs of Iraqi society and support the country’s progress towards a more democratic and rights-based future. By integrating human rights and democracy into the academic curriculum, the Ministry aims to equip students with the knowledge and values necessary to actively participate in the development of their communities.
