A master’s thesis titled “Organized Crime and Security Policies in Iraq after 2005” was discussed at the College of Political Science, University of Nahrain. The thesis was presented by student Ehsan Sabri Hanin.

The committee consisted of the following esteemed professors:

The study aimed to identify the main causes of organized crime in Iraq, determine its effects, and highlight the key pillars of security policies in Iraq. It also aimed to identify the main challenges facing these policies and the mechanisms for combating crime in Iraq.

The importance of the study lies in its shedding light on a serious phenomenon that threatens the reality of the Iraqi security environment. It analyzes the patterns of the relationship between organized crime and security policies in Iraq. This is done by identifying the main causes and effects of organized crime in Iraq and the possibility of this study providing abundant information to facilitate the advancement of security policy makers in the field of combating organized crime.

The study also contributes to the field of research and studies on organized crime.
