A PhD thesis discussion titled “Digital Transformation and Security Policies in Iraq after 2016” was held at the College of Political Science, Al-Nahrain University, for the student Ahmed Mahmoud Ouda. The thesis aims to analyze the reality of digital transformation and its impact on shaping Iraqi security policies after 2016, and to explore mechanisms for developing these policies to enhance the state’s ability to face digital threats. The study’s importance lies in addressing a vital issue that intersects with multiple aspects of state and society life, and provides insights and practical recommendations for decision-makers to improve digital transformation management and enhance security capabilities to confront increasing cyber threats. The thesis concluded that digital transformation is a strategic path that is indispensable for developing the security infrastructure in Iraq, which requires adopting integrated policies that include building technological capabilities, updating legislation, providing cyber protection, and developing qualified human resources.
