Discussion of a doctoral thesis on forecasting and risk management methodologies in the Iraqi national security strategy at Al-Nahrain University The College of Political Science at Al-Nahrain University witnessed a scientific discussion, where the researcher (Abbas Radi Rasan) discussed his doctoral thesis entitled “Methodologies of forecasting and risk management in the Iraqi national security strategy.” The discussion was held in the Hall of Two Rivers Civilizations in the presence of a committee of specialized professors and a number of students and researchers interested in the field of political science and national security, and in the presence of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Gamal Rashid, and a number of the most important political figures. The committee consisted of: Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Hamid, Chairman Professor Dr. Amer Hashem Awad, member Assistant Professor Dr. Ihsan Adnan Abdullah, member Assistant Professor Dr. Salah Mahdi Hadi, member Assistant Professor Dr. Moneim Khamis Mikhlef, member Professor Dr. Ali Fares Hamid, member and supervisor The thesis discussed the most important methods and techniques used to anticipate and manage risks within the framework of national security strategies, with a focus on the specific Iraqi context and the unique challenges it faces. The discussion included an in-depth scientific dialogue on the various aspects of the thesis, and the importance of the research in improving national security strategies in Iraq. At the conclusion of the discussion, the committee presented its evaluation of the thesis, praising the researcher’s efforts and the importance of his scientific results.
