“Scientific Workshop

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Political Science at the University of Nahrain, Professor Dr. Osama Murtadha Baqir Al-Saidi, the college organized a scientific workshop entitled “International and National Human Rights Institutions and their Role in Enhancing the Human Rights System in Iraq”. The workshop was held in the Hall of Nahrain Civilizations at the college.

The session was managed by Assistant Professor Dr. Mohsen Hassan Zahir and Lecturer Dr. Hassan Hadi Rashid. Students of the college presented research papers that addressed the topic of human rights from international perspectives, the role of international covenants and the United Nations, as well as the role of the International Criminal Court in human rights violations in Gaza.
