“Scientific Symposium”

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Political Science, Prof. Dr. Osama Murtadha Baqir Al-Saadi, and within the framework of the continuous efforts to raise awareness and deepen understanding of important community issues, the college organized, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior / Directorate of Narcotics Control, a scientific symposium entitled “Public Policies for Combating Narcotics: Evaluating Community Awareness and Government Response” at the Ambassadors Hall.
The symposium was moderated by Prof. Dr. Imad Salah Abdul Razzaq, and presented by Dean Engineer Ziad Khalaf Kathe, Director of the Research and Studies Center at the Directorate of Narcotics Control and Psychotropic Substances.
The symposium discussed the policies followed to combat narcotics, evaluated the effectiveness of community awareness campaigns, and reviewed the extent of the government’s response to combating this phenomenon.
The symposium, which is held as part of the campaign to protect society from the danger of narcotics, aims to analyze the impact of community awareness campaigns on reducing the spread of narcotics and evaluating the government’s response at the level of implementation and legislation. As well as exchanging views and ideas between academics and experts in this field.
