Scientific Seminar

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Political Science, Al-Nahrain University, Prof. Dr. Osama Murtada Baqir Al-Saidi, the Department of International Politics organized a seminar titled “Iraq’s Position in the Middle East Security Equation after 2023: Threats and Opportunities”.

The seminar featured a number of research papers presented by professors and postgraduate students, highlighting various issues related to Iraqi affairs, including:

• Non-traditional threats to Iraqi national security
• Iraq’s water and food security in light of Turkish and Iranian policies
• Forecasting Iraq’s future role in regional currency opposition

The seminar, attended by a number of professors and students, concluded with a number of recommendations for Iraqi national decision-makers.
