Professor Dr. Israa Alaa Al-Din Nouri Ahmed, a lecturer at the Faculty of Political Science at Al-Nahrain University, published a new scientific research entitled “Legal and Constitutional Mechanisms to Combat Violence against Women.”
The research was published in the sixth issue of December 2024 of the Journal of Women’s Studies, a peer-reviewed scientific journal published quarterly by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers - the National Department for Iraqi Women.
The research deals with the phenomenon of violenceIn Iraq, and its most important effects at various levels. It also addresses the most important mechanisms for combating violence against women, whether legal, social, or otherwise, while providing an in-depth analysis of the relevant Iraqi and international legislation, and proposing mechanisms to enhance the protection of women and guarantee their rights within a fair and sustainable legal environment.
