A lecturer at the College of Political Science at Al-Nahrain University, Professor Dr. Muhammad Karim Kazem, published a new scientific research entitled “Promoting Transparency and Integrity as a Means of Combating Corruption in Higher Education” in the Journal of Integrity and Transparency for Research and Studies, issued by the Federal Integrity Commission/Department of Planning and Research, in its issue seventeenth.
. The research addressed the importance of higher education as a major driver for the development and advancement of societiesHighlighting the challenges facing this sector due to manifestations of corruption such as academic plagiarism and misuse of resources.
The research raised a basic problem related to the effectiveness of current laws and procedures in reducing this phenomenon, in addition to the role of academic institutions in confronting it.This research comes within the framework of scientific efforts aimed at improving the quality of higher education and ensuring the credibility of academic institutions in Iraq.
