The lecturer in the Department of International Politics at the College of Political Science at Al-Nahrain University, the teacher, Dr. Ali Al-Rafi’i, on behalf of the Anki Studies and Research House, published a scientific book titled “The United States of America and the Post-Cold War Challenges.”
The book included the most prominent regional and international challenges that faced the United States of America as the dominant pole in the international system after the Cold War. They constituted an important concern in the perspective of the American decision-maker to draw linesEssential information that can be used to predict the course and developments of the overall American strategy. The United States has realized that the power it possesses will not necessarily lead to absolute continuation of global hegemony, due to the rise of China, the Russian-Ukrainian war, the raging conflict in the Middle East, the growing role of Iran, and the nuclear threat to North KoreaThe impact of extremist movements and climate issues. These factors, if not resolved, will inevitably affect American national security and constitute a direct reason for its decline as a global hegemon in the medium and long term.
