A book titled “European Energy Geopolitics and the Implications of the 2022 Russia-Ukraine War: New Trends and Promising Transformations” has been published for Prof. Dr. Wasan Ihsan Abdul-Munim, a lecturer at the College of Political Science, Al-Nahrain University.

The book, co-authored with Dr. Laith Luay Al-Tamimi and introduced by Prof. Dr. Haitham Karim Saiwan, is published by Al-Rafah Publishing House in Baghdad.

The book explores the 2022 Russia-Ukraine war, which raised alarms on security and energy, highlighting the issue of energy security in international economic relations between fossil and alternative energies.

It discusses the escalated geostrategic tension between Russia and the EU following Russia’s military operation in Ukraine, putting Europe in a difficult position regarding Russian energy supplies, especially natural gas
