Scientific Participation

Professor Dr. Suhad Ismail Khalil, a lecturer at the College of Political Science – Department of Strategy, Al-Nahrain University, participated as a member of the scientific committee and main moderator in the opening session of the Bayt Al-Hikma Forum titled “Iraq and the Future of Energy: Development, Transfer, and Localization of Technology”, held in Baghdad at the beginning of this month.

The session was attended by senior officials and experts, including Prof. Dr. Nasser Saleh Al-Asadi, Advisor to the Prime Minister for Transportation Affairs, Dr. Hisham Al-Alawi, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Planning, Prof. Dr. Falah Jassim Al-Amiri, Advisor to the Prime Minister for Oil Economics, and Prof. Dr. Dhaia Majid Al-Jumaili, Advisor to the Prime Minister for Smart Administration and Artificial Intelligence, who participated via Zoom.

The session addressed important strategic and political issues, including the development of the energy sector, promoting sustainable development, localizing technology, and expanding electrical connectivity, with a focus on the Development Road Project as a strategic plan to enhance integration between infrastructure, energy, and technology, and its role in supporting national policies and enhancing Iraq’s regional position.

Dr. Suhad posed strategic questions, drawing on her expertise in political science and strategy, reflecting a comprehensive vision of the opportunities and challenges presented by the Development Road Project and the use of innovation and smart technology to support political decision-making and promote sustainable development in Iraq, creating opportunities for dialogue and important scientific interventions.
