Scientific Participation
Professor Dr. Israa Alaa Al-Din Nouri, a lecturer in the Department of Political Systems and Public Policies at the College of Political Sciences, Al-Nahrain University, delivered a scientific lecture titled “Protection of Women in the Era of Globalization and Technological Advancement.” The lecture was organized by the Women’s Affairs Department in collaboration with the Computer Department at the College of Science, University.
Dr. Israa discussed the concept of globalization, its implications, effects, forms, tools, and mechanisms, as well as technological advancement as one of the tools of globalization, analyzing its impacts on society and the political system. She emphasized that globalization has had a significant impact on women in various aspects, including economic, social, and cultural, with both positive and negative effects.
Globalization has opened up new horizons for women in terms of freedom, education, and work, but it has also brought challenges related to identity, justice, and social balance. Technological advancement has greatly impacted women’s lives in various aspects, including education, work, and social life, posing new challenges related to preserving values and achieving a balance between digital and real-life.
