A group of researchers from the Department of International Economic Relations in the College of Political Sciences at Al-Nahrain University participated in publishing a book titled “Economic Security and the Triple of Sustainable Development”. The book was issued by the University Publishing House affiliated with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The book includes a collection of scientific research and studies by a selection of professors from the college. In a world where technological and economic transformations are accelerating, and environmental and social challenges are growing, economic security emerges as the most pressing issue in the post-Cold War world. Economic security is one of the fundamental pillars for the stability and prosperity of states in the face of climate change, political unrest, and global economic disturbances.

The book aims to explore the relationship between economic security and the triple of sustainable development in the Iraqi context. It focuses on how to invest in human capital and build society. The book also builds scenarios that serve the future of the Iraqi economy through decisions and reforms to be taken by the Iraqi government. It offers solutions and treatments for some problems related to water, agriculture, energy supplies, and their relationship with economic security. Additionally, it addresses diversifying the Iraqi economy through investing in technology and developing the infrastructure for cybersecurity and how to face potential threats in the future.

Among the research topics covered in the book are:
