Prof. Dr. Riyadh Mahdi Al-Zubaidi, a lecturer at the College of Political Science at Al-Nahrain University, in collaboration with researcher Mohammed Jassam Ala Allah, published a scientific research paper entitled (The Role of the United Nations in Governing the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Modern Warfare) as part of the proceedings of the Fifth International Conference (Artificial Intelligence and Public Policy: Governance, Security, and Development) of the College of Political Science – University of Baghdad.The research addressed the role of the United Nations in organizing and restricting the uses of artificial intelligence in modern warfare, as integrating these technologies into warfare raises serious concerns about accountability, control, and the possibility of unintended consequences, which necessitates the governance of these military uses.
