Published by the College of Political Sciences at Al-Nahrain University, a research study titled “American Policy towards the Russian-Ukrainian War” was authored by Assistant Lecturer Haitham Aqeel Mahmoud. The research aims to study the stance of American policy towards the war between Russia and Ukraine, where the United States characterized its support for Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression.

The United States provided significant military assistance to Ukraine, including advanced weapons and air defense systems, in addition to financial support to help the Ukrainian government maintain its economic stability. The US also imposed external economic sanctions on Russia, targeting vital sectors such as energy and finance, with the goal of reducing Moscow’s ability to fund the war.
