Asst. Prof. Ahmed Mohsen Aliyan from the College of Political Science, Al-Nahrain University, has published a research paper titled “The Future of Food Security in Arab Countries (The Dialectic of Self-Sufficiency and Dependence)” in the Babylon Center for Humanitarian Studies Journal.
Abstract:
The research examines the future of food security in Arab countries from a prospective perspective, reviewing three main scenarios: maintaining the status quo, failure, and success in achieving food security. The researcher concludes that efforts made by Arab countries, despite their positive impact on development indicators, are still insufficient to address challenges related to sustainability, technological development, and agricultural infrastructure.
