Asst. Prof. Dr. Mitham Hameed Nasser, faculty member at the College of Political Science, Al-Nahrain University, published a research paper titled “The Role of Crisis Management Strategy in Enhancing Iraqi Economic Security After 2016” in Al-Riyada Journal for Finance and Business, 2026.The paper aims to analyze the role of crisis management strategies in supporting and enhancing Iraqi economic security in the post-2016 period, within an economic environment characterized by rentierism, single-source income, and fragile infrastructure. It also examines the most prominent threats to economic and national stability, particularly public debt crises, unemployment, and inflation. The paper further addresses the theoretical foundation of crisis management concepts, as a leadership and administrative system based on forecasting crises and dealing with them proactively. It emphasizes the importance of employing successful crisis management strategies to strengthen economic security, and to identify vulnerabilities before crises occur, mitigate their effects, or address them after they take place.
