Scientific Activities

Under the auspices of the Dean of the College of Political Sciences at Al-Nahrain University, Professor Dr. Osama Murtada Saidi, a group of faculty members and students from the college participated in the Job Fair organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). The fair aimed to provide opportunities for job seekers to explore available positions in the private sector and stay updated on labor market requirements.

The college delegation included Dr. Mustafa Sadiq Awad, Head of the Science and Technology Gardens Section, Assistant Lecturer Noor Mushtaq, Dr. Sadeef Muhammad Kamil, Assistant Lecturer Abdullah Muhammad Qasim, and a group of fourth-year students. The students interacted with companies present at the fair, submitting their resumes and exploring potential job opportunities. This experience reflected the mutual interest and willingness of both parties to collaborate and enhance scientific and practical awareness, as well as develop the skills of students in the private sector.

On the sidelines of the fair, students from the college participated in a scientific competition organized by the Scientific Care Department at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, where they excelled, winning 5-1 against the College of Science. The Iraqi government is working to expand the private sector’s role in the economy, increase job opportunities, and reduce unemployment rates among youth.
