“Political Science Lecturer Participates in Countering Extremism Conference

Professor Dr. Ahmad Ghalib Muhyi, a lecturer at the College of Political Science, Al-Nahrain University, participated in the scientific conference titled “Confronting Violent Extremism from a Security Perspective”, organized by the Iraqi National Security Agency, Preventive Security and Counter-Terrorism Department, in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and hosted by the College of Engineering at Al-Nahrain University. Dr. Ahmad Ghalib stated that his paper was titled “The Role of Educational Institutions in Rejecting Extremism and Spreading the Spirit of Tolerance”, in which he discussed the educational and moral role that educational institutions can play in spreading values of tolerance and promoting peaceful coexistence, and that schools and universities form a fundamental pillar in building society and promoting citizenship values.
