The College of Political Science at Al-Nahrain University held a dissertation defense for the PhD student Karrar Ayad Jabr, titled “The Political and Security Dimension in American Foreign Policy towards the Gulf Arab States since 2017”.

Abstract:
The study aimed to analyze the political and security dimensions of American foreign policy towards the Gulf Arab States since 2017, focusing on the restoration of relations with Gulf allies, military deals, and enhanced cooperation in addressing common security threats, particularly in counter-terrorism, and providing American military and security assistance, including arms deals.

The study also examined the growing presence and role of China and Russia, which poses a challenge to the United States’ influence in the Gulf Arab region
