Participation in the 23rd Annual International Sustainability Conference
Two lecturers from the College of Political Science, Al-Nahrain University, participated in the WASD 23rd Annual International Sustainability Conference, held in London, United Kingdom, from December 2-4, 2025.
The conference, titled “United Nations: What Next After Agenda 2030 and SDGs,” was organized by WASD Network and its global partners.
- Asst. Prof. Dr. Hadeel Harbi Dhari presented a paper titled “Climate Challenges and Sustainable Development in Iraq: National Strategies for Adaptation and Alignment with the UN 2030 Agenda,” which addressed the key climate challenges facing Iraq and national adaptation strategies to achieve sustainable development goals, focusing on water security, energy, and environmental transformations.
- Dr. Dania Abdul Majid presented a paper titled “The Role of National Judiciary in Promoting Sustainable Development Goals – A Comparative Study,” which explored the role of national judiciary in protecting and achieving sustainable development goals according to the UN Agenda 2030, with a comparative study of the Iraqi, Egyptian, and British judiciary
