The College of Political Science, Al-Nahrain University, participated in the National Tree Planting Day campaign, supported by Dean Prof. Dr. Osama Murtadha B. Al-Saeedi. Ninety faculty members and staff joined the effort, planting citrus trees and green plants in coordination with the university’s Propagation and Afforestation Unit and the Student Activities Division.

The campaign aimed to promote environmental awareness and increase green spaces, aligning with the Ministry of Higher Education’s directives. Activities included planting trees and seedlings, seminars, workshops, and awareness campaigns to combat desertification and enhance environmental consciousness among students and staff.
