“National Afforestation Day”

“On the National Afforestation Day, in implementation of the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which designated March 12th as the “National Afforestation Day” in conjunction with the initiative to plant five million trees and palms launched by the Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia’a Al-Sudani, to combat desertification, the College of Political Science participated in this campaign through professors and students, and provided the presidency with around 100 trees.

This comes in line with the campaign to combat desertification, preserve the environment, and achieve environmental sustainability by increasing green spaces, as well as providing a healthy university environment that enhances the spirit of initiative and responsibility among students and contributes to improving the climate.
