Lectures on Educational Guidance

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Political Science, Al-Nahrain University, Prof. Dr. Osama Murtada Baqir Al-Saidi, and as part of the college’s plan in educational guidance, two lecturers from the Department of Political Systems and Public Policies delivered lectures to students on how to confront extremist ideas and plan for the future in a sound manner.

Dr. Zaid Hasan Ali presented a lecture on “Extremist Thought and Mechanisms for Confronting it, and the Role of Educational Institutions in Warning Against it”, discussing measures such as:

• Awareness and education
• Promoting positive human and cultural values
• Spreading awareness of the dangers of extremism and terrorism
• Promoting dialogue and tolerance among cultures
• Building personality and enhancing self-confidence and critical thinking
• Teaching conflict resolution skills peacefully
• Enhancing national belonging and loyalty

Dr. Falah Hasan Al-Manea presented a lecture on “The Importance of Planning for the Future and Setting High Goals”, discussing the importance of planning, overcoming challenges, and adapting to changes to build a strong personality capable of contributing to the nation.
