Lectures on Educational Guidance

Under the auspices of the Dean of the College of Political Science at Al-Nahrain University, Prof. Dr. Osama Murtada Baqir Al-Saidi, the Department of International Economic Relations at the college organized a series of awareness lectures delivered by faculty members of the Educational Guidance Committee.

The lectures were presented by:

• Asst. Prof. Riam Ali Hussain, who spoke on “Towards a University Environment Free from Negative Behaviors”
• Asst. Prof. Noor Saad Ibrahim, who spoke on “The Impact of Academic Guidance on Improving Academic Achievement and Developing Self-Learning Skills among University Students”
• Asst. Prof. Fatima Hassan Jassim, who spoke on “Knowledge is Power: The Impact of Reading on Self-Development and Society”

The lectures emphasized the importance of creating a positive university environment free from negative behaviors such as cheating, negligence, and disrespect. They highlighted that these behaviors are often caused by lack of awareness and life pressures, and that educational guidance plays a crucial role in addressing them through awareness-raising and promoting values and responsibility among students.

The lectures also stressed that reading is a key means of acquiring knowledge and developing oneself, and that an educated individual contributes to the education of society, which in turn has a positive impact on societal development
