Lecture on Time Management
Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Political Science, Al-Nahrain University, Prof. Dr. Osama Murtada Baqir Al-Saidi, the Technology Incubator Unit, in cooperation with the University Psychological Counseling Unit, organized a lecture on time management.
The lecture, organized and supervised by Asst. Prof. Abdullah Muhammad Qasim, presented by Asst. Prof. Nour Mowafaq Abdul-Ghani, and moderated by Asst. Prof. Nour Mushtaq Hasan, discussed the importance of time management for first-year students and the role of organization in achieving institutional and personal goals.
The lecture covered:
- Time management: a planning process to control time and achieve maximum benefit in the shortest period.
- Common time management mistakes: unclear goal setting, unrealistic goals, and neglecting breaks.
- Time management strategies: Eisenhower Matrix, Stephen Covey’s Matrix, Pareto Theory, and Pomodoro Technique.
- Time management challenges: academic pressure, procrastination, and multitasking.
- Recommendations for effective time management: scheduling tasks, setting deadlines, avoiding multitasking, and minimizing distractions.
