“Iraq 2050 Conference: Preparations Underway at the College of Political Science, Al-Nahrain University

The College of Political Science at Al-Nahrain University is preparing for its 8th annual scientific conference, “Iraq 2050,” to be held on April 20th, under the auspices of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Abboudi, and the supervision of the University President, Professor Dr. Ali Abdul-Aziz Al-Shawi, and the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Osama Murtadha Baqir Al-Saadi.

The conference will feature the participation of researchers and specialists in political and economic fields, presenting scientific research and papers. The Chairman of the Preparatory Committee, Dean Al-Saadi, stated that the committee has received nearly 26 scientific papers focused on the conference’s axes, including Iraq’s foreign policy, Iraq’s policy in enhancing relations with neighboring countries, sustainable economic development, and diversifying sources of income to reduce dependence on oil.

The participants include researchers from within and outside the university, as well as from some Iraqi ministries and institutions. The Iraq 2050 conference is a leading scientific and research event that aims to envision the future and create shared visions for the challenges and opportunities that Iraq will face in the coming years.

The conference aims to create an environment of serious and productive dialogue to reach results and solutions that contribute to achieving sustainable development and enhancing social stability.”
