Field Visit to the Central Bank of Iraq

The Department of International Economic Relations at the College of Political Science, Al-Nahrain University, organized a field visit to the Central Bank of Iraq/ Anti-Money Laundering Office, under the supervision of the department’s professors.

The visit aimed to familiarize students with the working mechanisms and procedures followed in combating money laundering. The delegation was received by Mr. Hussein Ali Hussein, Deputy Director General of the Office, and Ms. Lqaa Fanjan Thamir, Head of Strategic Analysis.

The college delegation included: Asst. Prof. Riyam Ali Hussein, Asst. Prof. Rafif Ayad Hassan, Asst. Prof. Anwar Hamed, Instr. Sara Mahmoud Ghazal, and Instr. Noor Muwaffaq Abdul Ghani.

During the visit, the delegation received a briefing on the office’s tasks and its role in protecting the financial system, which contributes to enhancing the practical aspect of the students.
