On the occasion of the Iraqi National Women’s Day, a group of faculty members and employees from the College of Political Science at the University of Nahrain participated in the Second Annual Conference organized by the National Security Adviser under the title “Women: A Force for Change in Society”. The conference was held in coordination with the Government Coordination and Follow-up Department at the Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies, on Monday morning, February 3rd.

The National Security Adviser, Mr. Qassem Al-Araji, delivered a speech on the occasion, highlighting the role and sacrifices of Iraqi women.

The faculty members of the college listened to research papers and studies presented by academics and researchers from various Iraqi institutions and civil society organizations. The papers discussed the role of women in society and the family, their role in security agencies, and called for a greater role in political participation.”
