Dr. Riyadh Mahdi Abdul-Kazim, a faculty member at the College of Political Sciences, Al-Nahrain University, participated in discussing the Master’s thesis of student Karrar Ahmed Abdul-Amir Kazim, titled: “The Rise of the Political Right and its Impact on the European Union’s Foreign Policy after 2019”. The discussion took place at the College of Law and Political Sciences, Iraqi University, in the Iraq Hall.

The thesis aims to highlight the implications of the rise of the political right in Europe on the European Union’s foreign policy orientations and decisions after 2019. The thesis concluded that the rise of the right contributed to the emergence of more rigid positions on issues of migration, security, and international politics, which reflected on the unity of European decision-making and its role in the international system.
