External Participation

: The Head of the Strategy Department at Al-Nahrain University’s College of Political Sciences, Professor Dr. Amer Hashim Awad, chaired the Master’s thesis discussion committee at Tikrit University’s College of Political Sciences for the student Muhammad Awad Khalil, titled “The Impact of Regional and International Environments on Iraqi Foreign Policy Behavior after 2011: Selected Models”.

The thesis examined the impact of regional and international environments on Iraqi foreign policy behavior, with a study of selected models from these environments at both regional and international levels. The study concluded that the foreign policy maker was not immune to the influence of these environments, but prioritized national interests. The researcher recommended leveraging Iraq’s available strengths to create a strong internal environment that enables policymakers to break free from the pressures of regional and international environments.
