Professor Dr. Abbas Saadoun Rafat, Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs at the College of Political Science, Al-Nahrain University, participated as a member of the discussion committee for a master’s thesis defense at the War College, University of Defense for Military Studies. The thesis, titled “The Role of the Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Agency in Facing Non-Traditional Challenges,” was presented by Brigadier General Dr. Abdul Razzaq Ali Mahmoud. The discussion committee consisted of:

• Professor Dr. Abbas Saadoun Rafat – Member
• Brigadier General Pilot Ali Dawood Salman, War College – Member
• Professor Dr. Saad Obaid Alwan Al-Saidi, College of Political Science, University of Baghdad – Member and Supervisor

The study concluded that the Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Agency plays a pivotal role in confronting non-traditional threats.”
