Assistant Professor Dr. Mustafa Farouk, a lecturer at the College of Political Science, Al-Nahrain University, participated in the discussion of the master’s thesis entitled “The Indonesian Political System after 1998 (A Structural-Functional Study)” by student Sura Shihab Ahmed, which took place at the College of Political Science, University of Baghdad, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Duriyul Muhammad.
The thesis addressed the developments that the Indonesian political system witnessed after 1998, particularly the constitutional reforms and democratic transformations that followed the fall of President Suharto’s regime, as well as the study of the structural and functional frameworks of this system and the impact of internal and external factors on it.
Dr. Farouk presented scientific interventions that enriched the discussion, shedding light on the important aspects of the study and emphasizing the need to benefit from different political experiences in understanding the paths of democratic transformation.”
