College of Political Science Employs 48 Graduates through “We Employ” Initiative
As part of its ongoing efforts to support its graduates and enable them to join the job market, the College of Political Science at Al-Nahrain University has achieved a significant milestone within the “We Employ” initiative. The college successfully employed 48 graduates in companies, banks, and the private sector.
This success is the result of the tireless efforts made by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Osama Murtada Baqir Al-Saidi, and the Training and Employment Unit, supervised by Dr. Mustafa Sadiq Awad. These efforts focused on building bridges of communication with government institutions and the private sector, and activating training and qualification programs that meet the needs of the job market.
The Dean’s office confirmed that this achievement represents an important step in supporting young academics and encouraging them to participate actively in building the state. The college will continue to work on expanding employment opportunities and developing the professional skills of its students and graduates.
This initiative is part of the College of Political Science’s strategic plan aimed at strengthening the relationship between academic institutions and the job market, in line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to empower national competencies and invest in young talents.
The college had previously organized a job fair in February, which was the first of its kind as an important cultural and scientific event. The fair was attended by a number of companies, institutions, and private sector companies, such as telecommunications companies, banks, and investment companies, with the aim of enhancing employment opportunities for graduates of political science by providing them with the opportunity to meet employers and learn about job requirements.
