Annual Political Science Conference

The College of Political Science, Al-Nahrain University, has begun preparations for its 9th annual conference, scheduled for April 2026, under the theme “Iraq Beyond Modernity”.

Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Osama Murtadha B. Al-Saeedi, Dean of the College

The conference will feature topics including:

• Political and institutional transformations
• Political thought and critique of modernity
• National identity and political ideology
• International relations and global politics
• Social movements and political change
• Economic policies and development

The 8th conference, “Iraq 2050,” was held in April 2025, addressing international politics, economy, climate change, and sustainable development.
