On Thursday, January 30, 2025, the Department of International Politics at the Faculty of Political Science at Al-Nahrain University organized a scientific lecture entitled “The Role of Military Media in Conveying Facts and Combating Rumor and Psychological Warfare,” in the presence of a number of professors, researchers, and those interested in media and political affairs.
The lecture was chaired by Professor Dr. Salman Ali Hussein, and presented by war correspondent Murtada Al-Moussawi, who reviewed his field experiences in covering events, highlightingHighlighting the importance of military media in confronting disinformation campaigns and enhancing societal awareness.
The lecture discussed the role of the media in conveying facts during conflicts, the effect of rumors in destabilizing, in addition to strategies for confronting psychological warfare that targets the morale of societies.
The session was moderated by Dr. Muntaha Ali Hussein, where the discussions witnessed wide interaction from the attendees who stressed the necessity of developing the media discourse to keep pace with the current challenges
