A Moment of Silence in Commemoration of the Yazidi Genocide

In conjunction with the anniversary of the Yazidi genocide and in implementation of the directives of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the College of Political Sciences at Al-Nahrain University organized a solidarity stand and a moment of silence.
The Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Osama Murtada Baqir Al-Saidi, along with his scientific and administrative deputies, and a number of department heads and administrative staff, participated in the commemoration of the genocide, killing, and displacement that our Yazidi brothers and sisters were subjected to by the terrorist organization ISIS.
The participants expressed their solidarity with the sacrifices of our people and brothers in the homeland and the campaigns of distortion and identity erasure that the Yazidis were subjected to.
The participants praised the sacrifices of our heroic armed forces that were able to liberate the city of Mosul, which was seized by the terrorist organization.
The terrorist organization ISIS had committed heinous massacres in Mosul during its occupation in 2014 before the heroic Iraqi forces were able to retrieve it to the bosom of the homeland.
