A master’s thesis
A master’s thesis was discussed at the College of Political Science, Al-Nahrain University, titled “Drug Trafficking and Abuse and its Impact on National Security in Iraq after 2003” by Ola Ayad Hashem, from the Department of Political Systems and Public Policies.
The discussion committee consisted of:

The thesis analyzed the phenomenon of drug trafficking and abuse in Iraq after 2003, as one of the security and social challenges facing the state, identifying the political, security, economic, and social factors that contributed to its spread. It also studied the underlying challenges facing the state’s efforts to address this phenomenon and its implications on Iraq’s national security in its various dimensions.
The study focused on evaluating government policies and measures to combat this phenomenon and exploring ways to reduce it and enhance the state’s efforts and specialized institutions in facing these challenges in the future.
