A Lecturer at the College of Political Science Wins the (Three Minutes Thesis) Competition for Ph.D. Students at the Iraq Level
Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Muhsen Alyian Al-Obeidi, a faculty member at the College of Political Science – Al-Nahrain University, won the (3 Minutes Thesis) competition for Ph.D. students at the level of Iraq. This followed his distinction among the top four winning students across all Iraqi governmental and private universities, out of more than (1000) Ph.D. students representing (91) Iraqi universities.
The researcher’s participation was through his concise presentation of his thesis, titled:
“The Social Environment and Political Participation in Iraq After 2018: A Study of Challenges and Treatments,”
in which he addressed the impact of social factors on the political behavior of the Iraqi citizen, and mechanisms for enhancing political participation in light of current social and political transformations.
The competition is considered one of the global academic activities that aims to encourage postgraduate students to present their scientific theses in an innovative and intensive manner in only three minutes, thus demonstrating their ability to simplify their research ideas and articulate their importance to the academic community and policymakers.
The lecturer was honored by the College Deanship, represented by the Dean, Professor Dr. Osama Murtadha Baqir Al-Saedi, in appreciation of his academic achievement and his contribution to representing the university honorably in this national competition.
