A cultural seminar about Imam Ali

A cultural seminar about Imam Ali (AS) was held at the College of Political Science, Al-Nahrain University, sponsored by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Osama Murtadha B. Al-Saeedi. The seminar, titled “I Won, by the Lord of the Kaaba”, commemorated the martyrdom of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib and aimed to highlight his significant role in Islamic history and civilization.

The lecture, delivered by Mr. Mahdi Ali Wadaha, explored Imam Ali’s distinguished position as a leader, spiritual figure, and model of justice, courage, and humility. The seminar shed light on his virtues and human qualities, which remain relevant in Islamic and human thought today.

The seminar discussed Imam Ali’s historical role in early Islamic society, his political leadership during the caliphate, and his efforts to maintain justice and unity. It also examined his moral and human dimensions, highlighting his commitment to justice and fairness.

The seminar concluded that Imam Ali’s legacy offers a valuable intellectual and moral model for understanding governance, responsible leadership, and good governance in contemporary societies.
