College of Political Science Organizes a Workshop on Finding the Appropriate Journal in Scopus

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Political Science at Al-Nahrain University, Prof. Dr. Osama Murtadha Baqir Al-Saidi, the Accreditation Unit, Quality Assurance and University Performance Division, organized a training course in cooperation with the Computer Lab entitled (Searching for the Appropriate Journal in Scopus) which lasted for three days as part of the implementation of the laboratory improvement plan for the academic year 2026-2027. The course included lectures on interface exploration and direct search and practical application, keywords and topical search, journal-specific performance indicators and practical application, detection of discontinued, predatory, and commercial journals, and the final decision matrix and practical application.The lectures were delivered by Lect. Dr. Baidaa Mohammed Mirza, Assist. Lect. Tala Oday Abdullah, and Assist. Lect. Noor Hisham Jaleel.A group of the College’s lecturers participated in the course, and it concluded with a practical test of the lecture contents received by the trainees.
