Awareness Campaign on the Dangers of Smoking

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Political Science at Al-Nahrain University, Prof. Dr. Osama Murtadha Baqir Al-Saidi, the Research and Studies Unit in the College organized a voluntary campaign to raise awareness of the dangers of smoking.Prof. Dr. Sawlaf Musahab Mahdi, Head of the Research Unit, stated that a group of professors from the College organized an awareness campaign on the dangers of smoking, especially among youth, and a group of students from the College participated in the campaign.The campaign included publishing posters, drawings, and slogans showing the dangers of smoking and aiming to stay away from this phenomenon harmful to health.Smoking is considered one of the negative phenomena that directly affects health and leads to health problems for the heart, lungs, and respiratory system, and doctors believe that smoking also causes psychological problems, and is one of the habits that threatens the health of youth at an early age, and it is advised to practice sports and engage in intellectual and cultural hobbies to maintain health and stay away from smoking.
