Address by the Dean of the College of Political Science, Al-Nahrain University, on the Occasion of the Start of the New Academic YearEsteemed colleagues, members of the College of Political Science — faculty and administrative staff…My dear students…Peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you.As life returns to the corridors of the university, I extend to you, with the highest expressions of affection, my congratulations on the launch of the new academic year (2026-2027).It is a new year and a new challenge in which we share the responsibility of work and perseverance to achieve accomplishments.Our college has succeeded in recent years in achieving important and significant leaps at the level of our university’s formations and at the level of colleges and departments of Political Science in Iraq, and our successes and our way of working have become an example for others to follow.These achievements constitute another challenge added to our duties, as we must first preserve these accomplishments, and we look forward to achieving more through deeper and more impactful experiences and at different levels, as there is still much work and continuous effort ahead of us.And on the path of work, some may be afflicted with laziness, lethargy, procrastination, and a feeling of futility, which are ailments that affect us all due to the modern lifestyle, lack of sleep, or immersion in the concerns of daily life.Therefore, I call upon you and upon myself to control our behaviors and to overcome these obstacles that hinder success, and to move forward with activity and enthusiasm to reach advanced rankings nationally and internationally, which is a hope that is not far off, God willing, with your determination and efforts…Thank you for your sincerity, dedication, and commitment.Prof. Dr.
