The College of Political Science

The College of Political Science, Al-Nahrain University, organized a field trip to the Ministry of Interior, Federal Intelligence and Investigations Agency, Directorate of Organized Crime, to enhance practical learning and link academic studies with security and economic realities.The team, led by Dean Prof. Dr. Osama Murtadha B. Al-Saeedi, included faculty members and fourth-year students from the Department of International Economic Relations. They were welcomed by senior officials, including Lt. Gen. Zafir J. Nabat and Brig. Gen. Hashim R. Sultan.The visit included a briefing on the directorate’s role in protecting national security, combating financial crimes, money laundering, and counterfeiting. The academic team proposed joint workshops and training sessions to enhance students’ skills in detecting forgery and counterfeiting.The visit aimed to strengthen cooperation between academia and security institutions, and explore opportunities for graduates to work in the directorate.
