Academic Achievements

Asst. Lecturer Ali D. Rabeeb, College of Political Science, Al-Nahrain University, published a research paper titled “Economic Integration and African Unity: The African Continental Free Trade Area as a Model” in the Mesopotamia Journal, issued by the University of Mesopotamia.

The paper analyzes the African Continental Free Trade Area’s role in achieving economic integration and African unity, examining theoretical and historical frameworks, development stages, expected economic impacts, and operational challenges.

Key recommendations include enhancing regional value chains, developing supportive infrastructure, building institutional capacity, supporting least-developed countries, and innovating project financing mechanisms.
