Field Visit

Under the sponsorship of the Dean of the College of Political Science, Al-Nahrain University, Prof. Dr. Osama Murtadha B. Al-Saeedi, the Department of International Politics organized a field visit to the Iraqi Museum to explore Iraq’s civilization through various historical periods.

• Delegation: Asst. Prof. Dr. Rawa Taha Darwish and students from the Department of International Politics
• Objective: Enhance students’ cultural and historical awareness
• Highlights:
  • Assyrian sculptures and stelae
  • Islamic architectural elements
  • Artifacts reflecting Mesopotamian civilizations
• Guidance: Museum staff provided detailed explanations on the artifacts’ significance
• About: The Iraqi Museum, established in 1932, houses artifacts from Assyrian, Sumerian, Babylonian, and Islamic periods
