Prof. Dr. Israa Alaa Al-Din Nouri, a faculty member at the Department of Political Systems and Public Policies, College of Political Science, Al-Nahrain University, has published a joint research paper with Rukiya Rafid Shaker from the College of Education for Women, University of Baghdad, titled “The Role of Women’s Empowerment in Sustainable Development”.

The research highlights the importance of empowering women in achieving sustainable development, emphasizing equality, and combating discrimination. It stresses the need for deep structural reforms, strategic sectoral plans, and large-scale development initiatives to achieve this goal.

It advocates for applying equality principles, equal opportunities, and combating discrimination to enhance women’s rights and contribute to overall development.
