(Scientific Workshop)

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Political Science at Al-Nahrain University, Professor Dr. Osama Murtadha Baqir Al-Saadi, and within the framework of developing students’ skills in using modern analytical tools in the field of international economic relations, the College of Political Science at Al-Nahrain University organized a scientific workshop titled “EViews Application: Basics and Economic Applications” in the Department of International Economic Relations.

The workshop aimed to introduce participants to the EViews program and its importance in economic analysis, as well as provide practical applications related to quantitative economic analysis. The workshop’s objectives included:

• Introducing students to the EViews program
• Training participants on using EViews in economic applications
• Enhancing students’ analytical skills

The workshop was divided into two sections:

1. Describing and analyzing the basics of the EViews program and its uses in various fields, especially in economics.
2. Illustrating economic topics and analyzing them using the statistical program, including analyzing the relationship between crude oil prices and the Iraqi general budget from 2004 to 2015.

The workshop was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Zain Al-Abdeen Muhammad Abdul-Hussein from the College of Political Science at Al-Mustansiriya University. The session was chaired by Professor Dr. Ikhlas Qasim Nafil.”
